COVID-19: Our Commitment to Health and Safety

We wanted to update you about the precautions we are taking in light of COVID-19. It's essential to us that our patients receive the same level of care that they are accustomed to, and that all dental emergencies are handled promptly. Here's what we've been doing in our office to ensure the environment is as safe and hygienic as possible.

Screening Patients and Taking Temperatures

Upon entrance, we have been taking everyone's temperature.  When our patients update their medical histories, we have been actively screening them to learn about any history of travel or signs of infection like cough, fever or shortness of breath.

Negative Air Pressure Rooms

To further your protection from infection, Dr. Jim is constructing negative pressure in our treatment rooms.  This negative pressure helps remove aerosols from the air quicker.  Ultraviolet lights have been installed to further remove microbes from the air.

Washing Hands

All patients and team members are required to perform proper hand hygiene by washing their hands thoroughly.  Patients are required to wash their hands for a minimum of 20 seconds before being seated for procedures.

Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

At our office, we have a strict policy to only practice dentistry when the right protective equipment is in place. We always wear surgical masks and eye protection. Masks are changed between patients. Rest assured, we are fully stocked in dental supplies.

Cleaning and Disinfecting

Throughout the day, we are rigorously cleaning all public areas in our office, including the reception area, bathroom, and operatories. This intensive cleaning includes everything from door handles to chairs.  We have removed unnecessary items from operatories for the most effective cleaning process.

Proper Social Distancing

You can rest assured that we are practicing proper social distancing in our office. We are actively working to make sure that patients are 6 feet or more away from others. When you arrive for an appointment, please wait in your car, call us to let us know you are here and someone will come escort you in when it is ready for you.

We always will put the welfare of our patients first. This means that we're keeping up to date with all announcements from federal, state and local authorities. If you have any questions about our policies during this time, please give us a call and we'll be happy to answer any questions you might have.
